The Cascades Fine Papers Group paper mill in Saint-Jerome, Quebec, already was using our materials to create their recycled paper. But when rising fuel costs threatened the continued operation of the plant, they took our partnership one step further. Now the mill is receiving 75% of its power through landfill gas from Waste Management's Sainte-Sophie Landfill. In addition to stabilizing their operating budget, this combination of green production and power helps both Cascades and their clients to further preserve natural resources in the areas of water use, residue management, greenhouse gas reduction, energy and raw material savings. And that suits us just fine.
