Students increase awareness about the environmental consequences of too much waste and identify solutions to the problem.

  • Lesson 2 - The 4 R's of Waste

Students investigate and teach each other about the four environmental R's – reduce, reuse, recycle and recover.

  • Lesson 3 - Focus on Recycle/eCycle

This lesson focuses on recycling, with an emphasis on how recycling saves energy and the importance of electronics recycling.

  • Lesson 4 - Don't Waste - Recover!

Students will investigate the process of energy conversion and relate that process to waste-to-energy technology.

  • Lesson 5 - Don't Waste a Good Idea!

Students design a strategy to persuade a person, group or organization to implement a waste management strategy.
